How to make budget.

  1. Use our budget planner to manage your monthly budget. Download planner
  2. Input your financial goals and major to dos.
Such as filing your taxes or getting your friend a birthday present.
  3. Add a budgeted amount for your expected income, recurring bills, and expenses.
Start with your essential expenses (food, personal care, housing, insurance, transportation), and you can more easily distinguish how much you’ll have left over for extras (dining out, events, vacations, non-essential shopping.)
  4. Add your debt payments and savings.
This budget tracker will give you a sense of how much you have “left to spend”. Prioritize making your minimum debt payments and even bigger lump sums to pay off this debt where possible. In general, work towards allocating 20% of your take-home income for debt payments and savings.
  5. Add your expenses and check how much you have left to spend.
At the top of the tracker, you’ll see how much you have left to spend as you enter your actual expenses and income. Don’t forget to allocate some funds to your savings every month too!

  6. Compare your actual income and expenses at the end of the month.
  7. Repeat these steps every month.
Monitor your yearly progress in the “Annual Overview” tab.
